Casting Classes

Kaweah Fly Fishers offers fly casting instruction by FFF certified instructor Mark Cave.  The classes are aimed at making the new student proficient in casting so they can focus on building fish catching skills while on the water.  Classes are also aimed at intermediates who wish to try new techniques, prepare for trips, learn how to use shorter, longer, lighter or heavier gear or learn new specialized casts.   The club provides all equipment except eye protection although students are welcome to bring their own gear if it is suitable.  Mark Cave has 20 years experience as casting chair and loves to help students discover the skills needed to enjoy fly fishing.  Private classes are also available by arrangement.  Contact the instructor at (559) 623-5338 or mdcave@sbcglobal.net. Classes are Wednesday nights 5:30-7:30 March-October or until we run out of students.   Groups can be accommodated by advance arrangement.  It is the goal of the class to lead student to club membership and to serve the needs of our members as well.  Anyone interested in helping with casting instruction should contact Mark Cave.
