Fly Fishing Freestones Visited Visalia February 3, 2017

Craig Nielsen, owner/operator of Shasta Trout Guide Service brought his multimedia presentation “Fly Fishing Freestones” to Visalia on February 3, 2017. For more information about Craig Nielsen and Shasta Trout Guides, please click here.

“Fly Fishing Freestones” surveys seasons, hatches, successful techniques, tactics, and tips, all refined in the shadow of Mt. Shasta. These techniques allow you to succeed when fly fishing for the most famous trout in the world: the McCloud River Rainbow. Using these techniques, fly fishers land outlandishly large McCloud River Brown Trout and Shasta Rainbows on the Upper Sacramento and Pit Rivers as well. Craig uses humor and down to earth descriptions to demystify successful strategies and tactics that will both increase an angler’s catch and their enjoyment of the sport of fly fishing.  “Fly Fishing Freestones”, designed for novice and seasoned anglers alike, offers concepts in a light, spirited, and informative manner. Craig encourages and expects audience participation with ideas that unguided anglers can easily transfer to other rivers.

“Fly Fishing Freestones” was brought to you by Kaweah Flyfishers on February 3, 2017 at the Lifestyle Center in Visalia.
